Athenaeum — A Toronto Public Library & Goodreads.com Interface

I’ve a heavy user of the Toronto Public Library and recently started using Goodreads.com, so I decided to join them together.

For now I just automatically take my checked out items and add them to some shelves on goodreads. You can see how I did it, and do it yourself too by checking out the Athenaeum project on github.

To see all the items I’ve checked out of the library since starting using this script, review my Checked-Out Shelf at goodreads.

Thanks

I was disappointed. I wanted more Thor and less everything else. The double page panels were difficult to follow and unnecessarily excessive. The opening with 3 or 4 pages of the same panel was dumb. It’s bad when my favourite part was the Ironman cameo. Hmmm maybe Faction should stick with Ironman?

Just did a quick tour through the options and preferences available. I think they have a bit of a ways to go before the average user will understand things.

Being technical I knew what they were talking about, but some of the features seem like they were put there by a programmer as a quick thought and never modified.

Depends on their target audience I guess.

Thanks to Randy Charles Morin for the invite.
